Situated on the scenic Bras d'or Lakes, the village of Baddeck
is a must see. Encircled by superb highland scenery, the virtually
tideless lake resembles a Scottish loch, a salt water lake that
makes for excellent fishing. Low mountains rise behind the channels,
bays, and harbours.
Baddeck is just 40 minutes away. It’s a tourist village
and home of the Alexander Graham Bell Museum. We suggest you
first travel the backcountry to the Iona Scottish Pioneer Village,
and then to Baddeck.
Here you will find a proud Scottish heritage, hear bagpipes,
and explore the Highland games. The Gaelic language is still
spoken here.
